[Nature of Dominion]

Reversing Ownership

Again, it is important to understand the teaching’s definition of ownership and dominion. Both rest on the voluntary, complete consent of all related parties. It is not like the legal term of ownership enforced by a legal system. It is a spiritual reality, that exists or doesn’t. It does not exist, when only a single participant in the deal holds any kind of reservation or resentment, complying only externally.

This state may be difficult to achieve in everyday situations. However, it is the underlying final goal of all divine interaction in the process of restoration.

As described earlier, when the first humans surrendered their ownership to Satan, he could claim control of the entire cosmos.  This fact can also be used to reverse the situation. As Satan claims control based on the principles of God and based on the wrong decision of the first human beings, he also has to surrender control based on these principles. Refusing to do this would immediately negate the foundations of his rule – with disastrous consequences.

Thus, if God and man use the principles appropriately he has to surrender his ownership. These dealings between God, man and Satan are the topic of the chapters on the recreation process.

Chapters 3 to 12 deal with the recreation process. They explain the underlying principles and apply them to historical events.
