EXT. GARDEN OF EDEN - DAY
Eve, looking hurt, lies on the grass beside a bush, playing with a flower.
A grumpy Adam stands by the lake and throws stones into the water.
GOD (O.S.) You did it again.
ADAM I don't like her cooking.
GOD (O.S.) You think with your stomach.
ADAM That's how I am.
GOD (O.S.) You could be more sensitive. After all, she washes your underwear.
ADAM Nice sidestep.
GOD (O.S.) Go and apologize.
ADAM No.
GOD (O.S.) Yes.
Adam picks up a big stone, hurls it into the lake. SPLASH.
ADAM Never.
GOD (O.S.) Now.
An invisible force drags Adam away from the tree and toward Eve who stares at distant mountains, her back turned to the lake.
ADAM (whispers, to God) I hate it when you do this.
GOD (O.S.) That's how I am.
Adam throws himself to the ground. His hands dig into the grass.
ADAM You can't make me do it.
The force drags Adam closer to Eve, his hands carving furrows as he scrapes across the ground.
He reaches for a boulder, misses by an inch.
Adam comes to lie parallel to Eve. In spite of staunch resistance his hand is moved across her shoulder without touching it.
His eyes turn to the sky. His lips move: ”I hate you.”
His hand lands on Eves breast. SLAP.
Eve spins around, jumps up.
EVE How dare you?
Adam also gets up - in a strangely coerced way.
ADAM He made me do it.
EVE Such a lame excuse.
The force slams Adam's right hand back on her breast. His left arm embraces her.
She tries to fend him off but her defenses soon break down.
EVE I hate you.
ADAM I hate you too.
They both look at Adam’s hand which still firmly rests on her breast.
They are swept off their feet but land kind of softly. Adam comes to lie on top of Eve.
ADAM (to God) I let you slide this time.
EVE So he did make you do it.
ADAM Errr...
GOD (O.S.) I won't if you don’t make me.
Eve turns stiff while Adam looks as if he swallowed a frog.
ADAM I’m sorry that I don’t like your cooking.
Eve laughs and then the usual things happen.
